History and Company Profile
Office Computer Systems, Inc. (OCS) was founded in 1984 for the purpose of
providing computer software and hardware solutions exclusively to dental
offices. OCS has since established a market position as the #1 supplier of
practice management systems for dental offices in Washington State.
OCS headquarters are located in the city of Issaquah, Washington next to
Interstate 90 approximately 15 miles east of Seattle. OCS provides software
development, sales, support, hardware service and training from the Issaquah
location. The employees of OCS provide many years of both computer and dental
office experience.
In April 1988, OCS and Data Systems Northwest (DSN), located in Centralia,
Washington, announced the signing of a strategic alliance agreement for the
purpose of jointly participating in the development and sales of additional
dental practice management products utilizing the latest Microsoft, Internet,
and data exchange technologies.
OCS today continues the development and enhancement of Office-Partner dental
practice management for use with Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT/2000 operating
systems.
As far as the development tools go, I use only Xbase++ and eXPress++.
After discovering eXPress++, I rewrote most of what I had written in Xbase
because I was much more comfortable with your product and decided to eliminate
all XbpCrt objects.
Programming is now fun again thanks to eXPress++. -
